Brian's Illustrious Lacrosse Career

Brian's lacrosse journey began in 1954 with Nedlands-Subiaco, quickly

reaching A-Grade by age 16. After a stint in Melbourne, he returned to lead

Nedlands-Subiaco to A-Grade premierships from 1963-1969 as Captain/Coach,

retiring in 1983.
 

 

Player Accolades & State Representation

He earned the O.C. Isaachsen Trophy (1966) and multiple WA Lacrosse Association Regal Cup awards. His remarkable 30-year state team involvement included playing for WA's Colts and Seniors, often as Captain/Coach.
 

 

National & International Impact

Brian played for Australian touring teams in 1962 and 1972. He captained Australia at the 1967 World Tournament and played in the first World Lacrosse Championships in 1974. He also served as an Assistant Coach in 1984, earning numerous All-Australian and All-star selections.

Administrative Contributions & Hall of Fame Recognition

Brian held administrative roles with Nedlands-Subiaco (Life Member), and Australian and WA Lacrosse Associations (Life Memberships, awards). He also helped establish Sof-crosse and served as Kuljak President. He was selected for the WA Lacrosse Association Millennium 2000 Team.

His exceptional career culminated in being named Western Australian Sports Federation Sportsman of the Year (1967), inducted into the Western Australian Hall of Champions (1986), and the Australian Sports Hall of Fame (1999). Brian is undoubtedly one of Australia's preeminent lacrosse players.
