Bill's Lacrosse Legacy
Bill's illustrious Lacrosse career began in 1938 as a founding member of the
Wembley boys' team, progressing to the Wembley Lacrosse Club A Grade
premiership-winning team from 1953-1960.

State Representation & Media Pioneer
He represented Western Australia, captaining the Colts (U21) in 1948 and playing for the
Senior team from 1949-1953. Recognizing a lack of media coverage, Bill became the Western Australian Lacrosse Association's first Publicity Officer, serving diligently until 1969. He cultivated strong relationships with newspapers, radio, and television, leading to significant media exposure, notably during the 1959 USA University team visit.

Club & Association Leadership
Bill's commitment extended to coaching junior and senior teams for the Wembley Club. He was awarded Wembley Life Membership in 1956 and served as Club President from 1960-1962. His dedication was further recognized with Western Australian Lacrosse Association Life Membership in 1979 and as a Fellow of the Australian Lacrosse Council in 1997.

Post-Playing Contributions & Lasting Impact
After retiring as a player, Bill became a dedicated referee, earning Life Membership of the Australian Lacrosse Referees Association (WA branch) in 1996. He joined the Kuljak Lacrosse Club in 1966, remaining involved for the rest of his life. Bill's 15 years as Publicity Officer are remembered as the "Golden Years of Lacrosse Publicity," solidifying his significant, lifelong contribution to the sport.
